I'll be exhibiting at a few festivals, VERY SOON! First, at the Chicago Zine Fest, on March 26! Then, I'll travel up to Canada where I'll have a table at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival, May 7 & 8! I'll also be at Wizard World Chicago's comics con-- stay tuned for details on that one, which will be in August! Also, please check back on my Artwork section soon for updates--I'll finally be posting a preview of the book I'll be debuting at these festivals!

I'm in a show RIGHT NOW at the Center on Halsted! Very/Runk/Barr: Queer Voices in Comics is up through July 7, with a reception on Friday, June 11, from 6:30-9:30 pm. I'll be selling books and posters at the opening, so bring some cash or a checkbook if you're looking to purchase some comics! 3656 N. Halsted, 3rd floor gallery.

My latest book, Best Friends, is out and available at Quimby's, Chicago Comics, and of course my Etsy Shop. This time I aimed for awkwardly humorous tear-jerker, dressed up in full color, with a cover letterpressed in gold! At $10, it's a steal!

Love and gratitude to Chances Dances and the Critical Fierceness Grant for financial and emotional support.

I now have an Etsy Shop where you can purchase several of my books from the comfort of your own home!

I am one of the artists featured in Undercover: 6 artists, 24 books, currently showing at Art Space Lima in Lima, OH. The show runs until October 31st and is curated by Melissa Eddings-Mancuso. Please stop by if you're in the area!

The Fish and the Monkey is now available in Chicago at Chicago Comics, Quimby's Bookstore, and the No Coast Store!
If you can't walk into one of those stores, email me at marianrunk@gmail.com, to request a copy of the book and arrange payment/shipping, etc. The book is $20. The dust jacket is a 3-color letterpress print, there's a hidden surprise letterpress print on the inside cover, and the text block was printed by hand on a Heidelberg GTO offset press, in 2 colors. What I'm saying is, it's worth the Andrew Jackson! Thanks for the support!

In other news, I just graduated with my M.F.A. (in Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts) from Columbia College Chicago! And I am excited to be one of the artists in Under Cover: 6 Artists/24 Books, a show that runs from September 18-October 31, 2009, at Artspace Lima in Lima, OH.
