Marian fled Texas for the Midwest at the age of 17 and isn’t sure she’s ever leaving. She makes comics, paper, and books from scratch. She has been both an ornithologist and a ballerina-in-training, but is currently pursuing an M.F.A. in "Interdisciplinary Book and Paper Arts" at Columbia College Chicago.
